Location and Services

Location

Fethard is located in the south east corner of County Tipperary, an area of rich farmland, walled and wooded estates and beautiful manicured stud farms.

The lands of the parish of Fethard and Killusty run right up to the Cairn, at 720 metres (2,340 feet), on top of Slievenamon mountain , a mountain dear to the hearts of all Tipperary people.

Getting to Fethard

The new Motorway, M8 from Cork to Dublin , passes within 15Km of Fethard. Simply get off at EXIT 8 in Cashel and its a straight (well, winding !) fifteen minute drive to Fethard on the R692.(TAKE NOTE:  Exit 8, as there are three Exits near Cashel)

Travelling by Public Transport

When coming by Public Transport, then it is best to access Fethard from Clonmel (16Km south) or Thurles (32 Km North) and then take the Local Bus from there to Fethard. Both these Towns have very good Bus (esp Clonmel) and Rail (esp. Thurles) connections to Dublin and Cork.
