Spillane an Fánaí , is a six week series of TV programmes made by John Spillane ( The Cork singer/songwriter ) over the Spring/Summer in six small towns (including Fethard) and the first programme (Fethard) will be aired on TG4 on Sunday Sept 15th at 10pm. In it Terry tells the stories (as Gaeilge) of John Kelly ( Ned’s father) from Moyglass and ‘The Resolute Desk’ that Obama sits at in the Oval Office which is made from the timbers of the ship of Fethard man Captain Henry Kellett
On Saturday next, 24th August , at 2.30pm there will be a Guided Tour of Medieval Fethard. Tour will take one and a half hours( approx).
Meet at the Foot Bridge in The Valley Park . No need to book , just turn up.
Fee €5 per adult, children go free.
