Terry appointed to Heritage in Schools Scheme

Terry has just  been appointed as an ‘Expert’ for the Heritage in School Scheme which is promoted and financed by the Heritage Council of Ireland.

Primary School children can visit Fethard and be guided around the walled town of Fethard in a manner that dovetails with their History and Geography curriculum. Terry will also visit schools and conduct specialised classes on particular aspects of History and Geography , especially  Farming, Food, Landscape  and also on Celtic and Norman Ireland of course.

The Heritage Council grant aids the school so that they can better afford to have outside visiting ‘ experts’ come and interact with the children.

Further information on the Heritage in Schools Scheme can be got on www.heritagecouncil.ie , and also (in the new year) on this website.
